Build a three-season trouser that performs through long days outside and changing conditions, without looking overtly technical.

WHY IT EXISTS

Most trousers sit at one of two extremes: traditional golf trousers that offer little protection from the elements, or technical outdoor trousers that look and feel too specialised. TOR exists to find the space between them — comfortable enough to walk and play in all day, protective enough for wind and light rain, and understated enough to wear when the round is over.

WHY WE REJECTED VENTILE

We wanted to see whether Ventile could bring natural weather protection, durability and a better hand-feel to the three season Trouser. It had many of the qualities we were looking for — but one fundamental problem. It didn’t move. Here’s why we tested it, why we rejected it, and what it taught us about building performance clothing without compromising our material philosophy.
